Locktober Day 30: Your Last Night Locked

Locktober Day 30: Your Last Night Locked

Day thirty of my 31-day series for men locking up alone. Tomorrow is the 31st. Tonight is the last night of your Locktober, and it deserves to be savoured.

Your task today, part one: prepare for tomorrow

Get everything ready now, so tomorrow can be entirely about the moment itself:

  1. Your key setup. Charge the time lock fully, or check that your envelope is where it should be. If a friend holds your key, confirm the time you will see them.

  2. Your sealed plan. Make sure the envelope with your October 31st plan is sitting with your key, still closed.

  3. Your space. If your plan involves a particular room, clean it, set it up, and have everything ready. Towels, lube, the music, whatever you described.

  4. Your box. Put your Locktober box somewhere you can reach it tomorrow evening.

Your task today, part two: the last evening

Give tonight the attention you gave day one. Do your final hygiene routine slowly and properly, and take one last careful look at your skin. Then spend the evening simply being locked, fully aware of it for the last time this month.

Before bed, write your final log entry of the month. The day number, your comfort score, and a few lines about what it feels like to know tomorrow is the end. Then go to sleep locked, knowing exactly what is waiting.

If you chose to carry on into November, do all of this anyway. The last night of October is still a milestone worth marking, even when the key stays where it is.

Why this matters

There is a particular feeling on the night before release, and it only exists once. A whole month of anticipation, pressed into a single evening. Rushing through it would waste one of the best parts of the entire experience.

As a keyholder, I always make the last night memorable. The key somewhere he can see it, a little extra teasing, and my reminder that tomorrow belongs to me, so tonight he waits. You have been your own keyholder all month, so tonight you get to do that for yourself. Look at the key. Think about the plan in the envelope. Let the anticipation build one final time.

And notice how different you feel from the man who locked up on October 1st. Tonight you get to feel that difference quietly, before tomorrow arrives.

Today's safety check

The same rule that has sat above every task this month still applies on the final night. If anything feels painful, numb, or cold, take the device off. Finishing a day early for your body is still finishing well.

Tomorrow: the unlock. In the meantime, visit my instagram for more locktober content, send me your story, questions, and read about other people's experience.
